PRF goes in right after it’s made, so we numb before the draw.

Regenerative
PRF
Platelet-rich fibrin from your own blood — made without anticoagulant and injected right after it’s prepared. Not stem cells, and we never call it that.

Also known as: platelet-rich fibrin, injectable PRF
Like PRP, PRF is made from a small amount of your own blood — but without anticoagulant. A short spin gives a liquid layer that holds platelets and the proteins that form fibrin; once injected, the fibrin sets into a fine mesh that keeps the platelets in place. Because it begins to set soon after it’s prepared, we numb first and inject straight away. PRF is not a stem-cell treatment, and we never describe it that way.

Compared
PRF and PRP — what’s different
| PRP | PRF | |
|---|---|---|
| How it’s made | Spun with anticoagulant | Short spin, no anticoagulant |
| What’s in it | Plasma concentrated in platelets | Platelets plus the proteins that form fibrin |
| After injection | Stays liquid | Fibrin sets into a fine mesh |
| Growth factors (lab studies) | Mostly released early | Released gradually over days |
| When it’s injected | After the spin and preparation | Straight away, before it sets |
| In common | From your own blood · not stem cells | |

Our principles
How we do it at Taut
PRF is not stem cells, and we won’t call it that — you should know exactly what goes in.
So it goes in as soon as it’s made, before it sets.
Draw volume and treated areas are written on your Taut Record.

Doctor’s note
PRF comes from the same blood as PRP. What differs is how it’s made and when it goes in — and that’s what I explain, without dressing it up as stem cells.

Questions
PRF FAQ
Is PRF a stem-cell treatment?
No. It’s platelets and fibrin from your own blood — nothing is harvested or cultured as stem cells.
How is PRF different from PRP?
PRF is made without anticoagulant, so its fibrin sets after injection and holds the platelets in place. Which suits you depends on your skin — we decide together at consultation.
Why is it injected straight away?
Without anticoagulant it begins to set soon after it’s prepared, so we numb first and inject right after the spin.
How many sessions?
Usually 2–3, four weeks apart.
How much does it cost?
The price will be posted before we open, in Korean won excluding 10% VAT.
